That moment revealed a simple truth: many families need timely, direct help to remove one critical barrier and keep hope alive. I shared the story with my dear friend Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Onifade, and together we decided to act.

With tears streaming down her face, she said, “I just need enough to pay the school fees, and maybe a little help with groceries this month. I don’t want a handout—I just want my child to have a future.”

In that moment, a powerful truth became clear to me. The need was not for complex, large-scale programs. It was for direct, immediate intervention—a simple bridge to keep dreams alive. We didn’t need to rebuild her entire life; we only needed to remove the one crushing financial barrier standing between her family and stability.

I shared this experience with my friend-turned-sister, Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Onifade. Without hesitation, she responded, “Let’s make her dream come true—and not just hers, but the dreams of others facing similar struggles.” Having witnessed hardship herself, she already carried a deep desire to help those in need.

And so, from compassion, shared purpose, and a commitment to restoring hope, the Lola and Layo Foundation was born.

Guided by faith and compassion, she believes no child should be denied education, no family should struggle without healthcare, and no one should go to bed hungry.

Through Lola and Layo Charity Foundation, she is committed to restoring dignity and hope by providing education support, healthcare outreach, feeding programs, and other essential amenities to underserved communities.

A woman of purpose and deep faith, her humanitarian work is driven not just by empathy, but by a calling to serve God through service to humanity.
